4)  NOTES (with source citations as indicated in brackets):

There are no birth records for Lydia Maynard, but there are birth records for all of her siblings in Westborough, Massachusetts Bay.  James and Mary (Morse) Maynard were the only Maynard family in Westborough in the 1720s.  Lydia Maynard was born about 1722 in Westborough, Massachusetts Bay, the second child and second daughter of James and Mary (Morse) Maynard of Westborough.

Lydia married at age 20 to David Bathrick (1722-1794) on 12 May 1742 in Westborough, Worcester County, Massachusetts Bay[1-2].  David was the son of John and Mary (--?--) Bathrick of Cambridge.  They had seven children, all born and recorded in Westborough town records:

*  Solomon Bathrick (1746-1824), married 1778 Thankful Howe (1750-1825).
*  Anna Batherick (1748-????), married 1772 Richard Barnes (1747-1815).
*  Jonathan Batherick (1749-1825), married 1769 Abigail Battle (1750-1786).
*  Mindwell Bathrick (1751-1789)
*  Lydia Bathrick (1752-1795), married 1779 Phinehas Brigham (1755-1802).
*  David Bathrick (1754-1794).
*  Stephen Bathrick (1757-1846), married 1788 Patty Bond (1769-1859).

David Bathrick died intestate on 4 August 1794 and his estate papers are in Worcester County Probate Records, in estate file 4414 (12 images)[3].  On 8 September 1794, Solomon Bathrick, Jonathan Bathrick and David Batherick posted £500 bond, and Solomon Bathrick was appointed administrator of the estate by the probate court judge.  An inventory of the estate was taken by Nathan Fisher, Thomas Andrews and Samuel Forbush on 24 September 1794.  There was no real estate (apparently, it had been sold or given to his children over time).  The personal inventory totaled £8-9-7.  On 7 October, Solomon Bathrick charged himself with the inventory and paid debts, costs and charges, and £5-5-7 was left.  The probate court awarded the balance  to the widow, Lydia Bathrick.

Lydia, "widow of David," died at age 79 in Westborough, Massachusetts[4-5].  There is no burial record for her.

NOTE:  This genealogical sketch is out of Ahnentafel order because I found new information linking Sophia Newton to her birth father, Lambert Brigham.

NOTE: In 2014, Amy Johnson Crow suggested a weekly blog theme of "52 Ancestors" in her blog post 52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks on the No Story Too Small blog. I have extended this theme in 2021 for an eighth year to 416 Ancestors in 416 Weeks. The (incomplete) list of 52 Ancestors biographies from my great-grandparents to the 7th great-grandparents (in work) is in https://www.geneamusings.com/p/ancestor-biographies.html.
