Treasure Chest Thursday - 1719 Marriage of James Mainard and Mary Morse in Marlborough, Massachusetts

It's Treasure Chest Thursday - a chance to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history and genealogy musings.

The treasure today is the 1719 marriage entry for Joseph Mainard and Mary Morse  in the Marlborough, Massachusetts vital records book:

The birth entry is the 5th entry from the Mainard listings:

The transcription of this record is:

"[MAINARD] James and Mary Morse, Jan. 6, 1718-19. [Dec 15, 1718, C.R.]"

The source citation for this record is:

Franklin P. Rice (editor), Vital Records of Marlborough, Massachusetts, to the End of the Year 1849 (Boston, Mass. : Franklin P. Rice, 1908), Marriages, page 282, James Mainard and Mary Morse marriage entry, 6 January 1718/9.

This is an entry in a published Marlborough, Massachusetts vital record book.  It is a Derivative Source with Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the marriage of James Mainard and Mary Morse on 6 January 1718/9 in Marlborough.  The date in brackets is probably the date of filing intentions in the Marlborough church record book.

James Mainard (1694-????) was the son of John and Lydia (Ward) Mainard of Marlborough.  Mary Morse (1697-????) was the daughter of Joseph and Grace (Warren) Morse of Marlborough. James Mainard married 6 January 1718/9 to Mary Morse (1697-????) in Marlborough.  They are  my 6th great-grandparents, through their daughter Lydia Maynard (1722-1802).
