This record is a Derivative Source, with Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the marriage of Nathaniel Tomkins and Elizabeth Allen. The original record is probably in a Newport, R.I. town record book that is not extant.
Nathaniel Tomkins (1650-1724), the son of Nathaniel and Elizabeth (Goodman) Tomkins, married Elizabeth Allen (1651-1714), the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Bacon) Allen, on 15 January 1670/1 in Newport, Rhode Island. They had 10 children.
Nathaniel and Elizabeth (Allen) Tomkins are my 8th great-grandparents. I am descended through their daughter Elizabeth Tompkins (1675-1729), who married in 1696 to William Ladd (1665-1729).
