Susan Sever was born in about 1823 in Taunton, Massachusetts to Benjamin and Susan (Lippett) Sever.  She did 25 November 1853 in Taunton.  She did not marry, and had no known children.

She died intestate, had no real estate, but had a personal estate.  George Walker was appointed Administrator of the estate at the request of the heirs-at-law.  An inventory was taken of the movable personal estate, which totaled $107.  The account above shows additional property, in the amount of $1415 from C.A. Cash, which was probably Susan's portion of her father's estate - Benjamin Sever died in 1852 in Taunton.

The heirs-at-law were her mother, Susan Lippett (Hull) Seaver (1804-1888), her sister Julia Seaver (1825-1901 (never married), and her sister Martha E. Sampson (1828-1915), wife of Ira Sampson (1815-1871).

Susan Sever/Seaver (1823-1539) is my 6th cousin 4 times removed.  Our common Seaver ancestor is Robert Seaver (1608-1683) of Roxbury, Massachusetts.

NOTE: Genea-blogger John Newmark (who writes the excellent TransylvanianDutch blog) started a Monday blog theme years ago called "Amanuensis Monday." John offers this definition for "amanuensis:"

"A person employed to write what another dictates or to copy what has been written by another."
