Jane (Russell) Sever (1802-1876) was born 13 January 1802 in Kingston, Massachusetts, and died 7 December 1876 in Kingston.  She was the daughter of James N. and Jane (Russell) Sever, and was never married.

The will was written on 19 July 1876, and the will was proved on 14 December 1876 in Plymouth County Probate Court.  John J. Russell was identified as the executor in the will; he is probably a cousin in the Russell family.  A bond of $30,000 was posted by the executor on 13 March 1877.  There is no inventory, account or distribution in the estate file.

Jane (Russell) Sever (1802-1876) is my 4th cousin 6 times removed.  Our common Seaver ancestor is Robert Seaver (1608-1683) of Roxbury, Massachusetts.

NOTE: Genea-blogger John Newmark (who writes the excellent TransylvanianDutch blog) started a Monday blog theme years ago called "Amanuensis Monday." John offers this definition for "amanuensis:"

"A person employed to write what another dictates or to copy what has been written by another."
