Treasure Chest Thursday - 1850 U.S. Census for Isaac Lanfear in Lorraine, Jefferson County, New York

Isaac Lanfear (1777-1851) was born in 1777 in Hillsdale, Columbia County, New York, the son of Latham and Anna (Wilbur) Lanphere.  He married Rosina Laun (1781-1881) on 10 October 1808 in Claverack, Columbia County, New York.  They had ten known children, born between 1809 and 1828.

Isaac and Rosina (Laun) Lanfear  are my 4th great-grandparents.  I am descended through one of their children who had a son (perhaps out of wedlock), my 2nd great-grandfather, Devier James Lanfear Smith (1839-1894), who was adopted by Ranslow and Mary (Bell) Smith of Henderson, New York.
