This was a surprise find when I noted that Ancestry.com had updated their Yearbook collection, so I put mym other's name in and found pages from this yearbook. I had seen pages from the 1940 Yearbook before. The page for this sorority says that Betty Carringer was the Vice-President of the sorority in 1939. I have never seen the photo at the bottom of the page, and don't have any other photo of my grandmother, Emily (Auble) Carringer ("Mrs. L.L. Carringer) from that time period. She looks pretty sporty in that hat!
Gay Dill is in the head shot photos in the second row down the page. She was one of my mother's longtime friends, and would drive her to the sorority meetings in the 1990s. Since Gay was a Dill, and I have Dills on my father's side, her daughter contacted me several years ago when she was in town, so Linda and I went to La Jolla one evening and met Gay and her daughter several years ago.
