The transcription of this handwritten will is:

Know all Men by these presents

that I Otis Seaver of Townsend in the county

of Middlesex and Commonwealth of Massachusetts

Yeoman.  Being of sound disposing mind

and memory do make and publish this

my last Will and Testament.

Fist I give and bequeath to my nece

Lucy Tyler wife Putnam Tyler and Daughter

of Abraham Seaver of Townsend to her and

her children a certain tract of land together

with the buildings thereon bounded as

follows viz.  begining at the southeast corner

adjoining the common at a stake & stones

thence West about three rods.  Thence north

four rods on land of Hannah Seaver thence

East three rods on land of said Otis Seaver

thence southerdly on the common four rods

to the bound first named.

Second I give and bequeath Everett W.

Seaver son of A W Seaver deced

four hundred dollars to be paid in

one year after my decease.

Third I give and bequeath to ^my nephew^ Dea Samuel

Seaver of Northborough all the remainder

and residue of my real estate and personal

property after paying the foregoing legaces &

just debts funeral charges & errecting desents

gravestones at my grave.

Forth I ordain and appoint my nephew

Dea Samuel Seaver as executor of this my

last Will and Testament.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto set

my hand and seal and publish and

declare this to be my last Will and Testament

in the presence of the witnesses named

below this sixth day June in the year

of our Lord one thousand eight

hundred and fifty seven.

Signed sealed published and declared by

the said Otis Seaver as his last Will

and Testament in presence of us who

in his presence and in the presence of 

each other and at his request have here-

unto subscribed our names as witnesses.

*  images 9-10:  8 December 1857:  Executor's bond of $10,000 posted by Samuel Seaver, Abraham Seaver and George C. Davis, all of Northboro.

Otis Seaver was born 27 September 1789, the 11th and last child of Thomas and Hannah (Wood) Sever of Townsend.  He died 7 October 1857 in Townsend.  He did not marry or have children.

Otis Seaver bequeathed land in Townsend to his niece, Lucy (Seaver) Tyler, the daughter o his brother Abraham Seaver.  He bequeathed $400 to his grand nephew, Everett W. Seaver, son of A[braham] W[ood] Seaver.  He bequeathed the rest of his property to his grand-nephew Samuel Seaver of Northborough, son of his brother Samuel Seaver.

Otis Seaver (1789-1857) is my 4th cousin 6 times removed.  Our common Seaver ancestor is my 9th great-grandfather, Robert Seaver (1608-1683).
