Seavers in the News -- Wayne L. Seaver Dies in 1966 in West Palm Beach, Florida

 Here is this week's edition of "Seavers in the News" - a weekly feature from the historical newspapers about persons with the surname Seaver that are interesting, useful, mysterious, fun, macabre, or add information to my family tree database.

This week's entry is from The South Bend [Ind.] Tribune newspaper dated 24 October 1966, page 28:

The transcription of the article is:

This obituary identifies his birth place, death date and place, spouse's name, children's names, mother's name, and limited occupation and association information.

Wayne Lowell Seaver was born 22 April 1903, the son of Benjamin Wade and Surelda Anna (Watkins) Seaver.  He married Helen Shade (1904-1971) on 22 May 1927 in Kokomo, Indiana.  Wayne died 22 October 1966 in West Palm Beach, Florida.  They had four children:

*  Joanne Seaver (1928-2011), married 1948 Alvin E. Hensler (1927-2009).
*  Nancy Lee Seaver (1930-1987), married 1948 Lloyd Kehoe (1930-1968).
*  Mary Francese Seaver (1931-2011), married 1949 Lowell Dwight Matz (1920-2000).
*  Susan Seaver (1934-2014), married 1959 Richard Jack Steele (1931-????).

Wayne Lowell Seaver (1903-1966) is not a Seaver cousin of mine.  He descends from Henry and Elizabeth (--?--) Seaver of Virginia.

There are over 10,000 Seaver "stories" in my family tree - and this was one of them.   Life happens, accidentally and intentionally, and sometimes a person has a fairly complete obituary.  I am glad that I can honor Wayne Lowell Seaver today.

You never know when a descendant or relative will find this blog post and learn something about their ancestors or relatives, or will provide more information about them to me.
