It's time to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history and genealogy musings for Treasure Chest Thursday.
The treasure today is the 1654 marriage record of Stephen Wing and Sarath Briggs, and birth records of their children, in Sandwich, Massachusetts:

"Stephen Wing & Sarath Briggs married the 7'th of 11'th month 1654 - had children born as follows:
Stephen Wing Born September 2 1656
Sarath Wing Born Feb 5 1658
John Wing Born Sept 25 1661
Abigial Wing Born May 1 1664
Ebenezer Wing Born 11'th of 5'th month 15671
Matthew Wing Born 1'st of 1'st month 1673"

This record is a Derivative Source, with Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the marriage of Stephen Wing and Sarath Briggs, and the names and birth dates of their children.. The Original source is probably a Sandwich town record book that is not now extant and was copied into this town record book at the back of the book for Sandwich Births (1803-1843), Deaths (1803-1843) and Marriages (1813-1837).
Stephen Wing was born about 1621 in Netherlands, the son of John and Deborah (--?--) Wing, and died 24 September 1710 in Sandwich. Sarath Briggs was born about 1637 in England, the daughter of John and Katherine (--?--) Briggs, and died 26 March 1689 in Sandwich. They had seven children between 1656 and 1673, all born in Sandwich and recorded in the town record book.
Stephen and Sarath (Briggs) Wing are my 8th great-grandparents. I am descended through their daughter Sarath Wing (1658-1720), of Sandwich, Massachusetts, who married Jacob Soule (1657-1730), in about 1680 in Sandwich, Massachusetts.
