Best of the GeneaBlogs - 25 to 31 December 2022

Scores of genealogy and family history bloggers write hundreds of posts every week about their research, their families, and their interests. I appreciate each one of them and their efforts.

My criteria for "Best of ..." are pretty simple - I pick posts that advance knowledge about genealogy and family history, address current genealogy issues, provide personal family history, are funny or are poignant. I don't list posts destined for daily blog prompts or meme submissions (but I do include summaries of them), or my own posts.

Here are my picks for great reads from the genealogy blogs for this past week:

*  Top Ten Genealogy Articles of 2022 by DiAnn Iamarino on Fortify Your Family Tree.

*  Evaluating Ancestry DNA’s Parental Matches  by Louis Kessler on Behold Genealogy.

*  16 Places Where You Can Find Genealogy and Family History Books  and 64 Genealogy Items to Collect from Your Home by Kenneth Marks on The Ancestor Hunt.

Daniel’s Favorites: 5 Amazing Archives Well Worth a Visit by Daniel Horowitz on MyHeritage Blog.

*  Genealogical Research: Beyond BMD Records by James Tanner on Genealogy's Star.

2022's Top Posts by Judy G. Russell on The Legal Genealogist.

 *  2023 Legacy Family Tree Webinars series announced — adds Webinar Shorts AND the new "Best of Elizabeth Shown Mills" series and Top 30 genealogy webinars of 2022 by Geoff Rasmussen on Legacy News.

*  Tracking DNA Research Status in Airtable by Diana Elder on Family Locket.

*  Preserving Christmas and Other Greeting Cards by Melissa Barker on A Genealogist in the Archives.

Here are pick posts by other geneabloggers this week:

*  Friday's Family History Finds by Linda Stufflebean on Empty Branches on the Family Tree.

* This Week's Creme de la Creme - December 31, 2022  by Gail Dever on Genealogy a la Carte.

Readers are encouraged to go to the blogs listed above and  read their articles, and add the blogs to your Favorites, Feedly, another RSS feed, or email if you like what you read. Please make a comment to them also - all bloggers appreciate feedback on what they write.

Did I miss a great genealogy blog post? Tell me! I currently am reading posts from over 900 genealogy bloggers using Feedly, but I still miss quite a few it seems.
