Dad and His Boys in Early 1947 -- Post 792 of (Not So) Wordless Wednesday

I can't help it, I can't do a wordless post! This is one of my favorite photographs:

This is a photograph of my father, Frederick Walton Seaver (1911-1983) with his first two sons (Stanley on his lap, Randy on his back) sitting on the front porch of the apartment at 2114 Fern Street in San Diego, probably in early 1947 (Stan was born in September 1946, Randy was three years old).  I wonder what we were doing?  Perhaps watching traffic or a pet or a bug?

We lived in that apartment for only a year or two after my father returned from the U.S. Navy.  Later in 1947, we moved to the upstairs apartment at 2119 30th Street where my parents lived until 1978. At the time, my grandparents, Lyle and Emily (Auble) Carringer owned the two two-story apartment houses at 2115-2119 30th Street and 2114-2116 Fern Street on the same block, plus the lot to the south and the lots to the north.

I colorized the black and white photo using the MyHeritage tools.

This photograph is all part of our family history.
