This week's famous cousin is Walter Elias "Walt" Disney (1901-1966). the first Mouseketeer. Here is the FamilySearch Family Tree Brief Life History page:
"When Walter Elias Disney was born on 5 December 1901, in Chicago, Cook, Illinois, United States, his father, Elias Charles Disney, was 42 and his mother, Flora Call, was 33. He married Lillian Marie Bounds on 13 July 1925, in Lewiston, Nez Perce, Idaho, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 daughters. He lived in Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri, United States in 1920 and Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California, United States for about 20 years. He registered for military service in 1942. In 1923, his occupation is listed as president of the Walt Disney Productions in Burbank, Los Angeles, California, United States. He died on 15 December 1966, in Burbank, Los Angeles, California, United States, at the age of 65, and was buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, Los Angeles, California, United States."
The FamilySearch Family Tree says that I am his 7th cousin 2 times removed. Here is the relationship path:
I am the son of Frederick Walton Seaver (1911-1983).
My most recent common ancestors with cousin Walt are my 8th great-grandparents John Whitney (1621-1692) and Ruth Reynolds (1620-1706).
My grandkids will be thrilled, I think.
