 Here is this week's edition of "Seavers in the News" - a weekly feature from the historical newspapers about persons with the surname Seaver that are interesting, useful, mysterious, fun, macabre, or add information to my family tree database.

Gilbert Homer Seaver (1916-1977) was born 22 March 1916 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of  Charles Homer and Grace Mary (Marsh) Seaver.  He died 27 March 1977 in West Bloomfield, Michigan.  He married Irene Amundsen (1920-2009) on 27 May 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio.  They had two children:

*  Robert Norman Seaver (1946-1990).
*  Linda Anne Seaver (1949-????) married --?-- Blain.

I am a 4th cousin two times removed to Gilbert Homer Seaver (1916-1977).  Our common Seaver ancestor is my 5th great-grandfather Norman Seaver (1734-1787).

There are over 10,000 Seaver "stories" in my family tree - and this is one of them.   Life happens, accidentally and intentionally, and sometimes a person has an interesting occupation.  I am glad that I can honor Gilbert H. Seaver today.

You never know when a descendant or relative will find this blog post and learn something about their ancestors or relatives, or will provide more information about them to me.
