This week's document for transcription is the 1730 deed of Seth, Josiah and Thankfull Rice selling swamp land in Westborough, Massachusetts to Nathan Brigham.

To all People to Whome this Present ^Writing^ shall come Greeting. Know Ye that we Seth Rice
& Josiah Rice both of the Town of Upton in the County of Middlesex in the Province of the
Massachusetts Bay in New England husbandman and Thankfull Rice wife of y'e s'd Josiah Rice
for & in Consideration of the Sum of Six Pound in Good & Currant Money of this Province to us
in hand Paid Before the Ensealing of these Presents by Nathan Brigham of Southboro
in the County & Province Afores'd Yeoman the Receipt Whereof to full Content & Satisfa-
ction We do hereby Acknowledge our Selves therewith to be fully Satisfied & paid &
of Every Part & Parcel thereof do Acquit Exonerate and Discharge the s'd Nathan Brigh-
am his heirs and Assigns forever And for Divers Other Good Causes and Considerations
Whereunto Moving Have by these Presents Given Granted Bargained Sold Aliened
Enfeoffed Remised Quitted Claim and confirmed and by by these Presents fully and
Absolutely Give Grant Bargain Sell Aliene Infeoffe convey & Confirm unto him
the s'd Nathan Brigham And to his heirs and Assigns all the Right Title intrest
that we the s'd Seth Josiah & Thankfull Rice Ever had now have or that We our
heirs Should or ought to have in or to a Certain Devision of Ceder Swamp which
our Honoured father Edmand Rice of Westborough dyed Seized of Scituate and
being in Westboro afores'd being the Second Division of Ceder Swamp granted
and laid out Unto the Right of our Hond Grandfather Sam Rice his right in
Marlboro in the County afores'd butted & Bounded as it Stands Recorded on y'e
Book of Record To s'd right. To have and to hold all and Singular
the Afore Released Division of Ceder Swamp With Every Part & Parcel with
the Appurtenances thereof Unto y'e said Nathan Brigham his heirs & Assigns
forever To his & thier own Proper Use Benefit and Behoof forever more freely
Clearly and Quietly Without Any Manner of Reclaim Challenge or Contradic-
tion of us the s'd Seth Josiah & Thankfull Rice afores'd our heirs or Assigns
And Without Any Accompt Reckoning or Answer Therefore to be given Rendr-
ed and Done in time to Come to us or them So that Neither we the s'd Seth
joisah or Thankfull Rice us or Either of us our heirs or Assigns or

Any Other Person or Persons for us or them or in our Names or Stead Shall
or Will by Any Way or Means hereafter have Calm Challange or Dem-
and and Estate Right Title or Intrest of in or to the Premises above Released

Estate Title Intrest Claim and Demand of in & to the s'd Premises and
Every Part and Percel thereof we our Selves and Every of them Shall be
Utterly Excluded and forever Debared by this Presents & the s'd bargained

Some background: Nathan Brigham (1693-1784), married (1) Dinah Rice (1693-1725) in 1717, and they had five children, all born in Marlborough; married (2) Hepsibah Ward (1708-1748) in 1729, and they had eight children, all born in Southborough. Seth Rice and Thankfull Rice (wife of Josiah Rice) were siblings of Nathan Brigham's first wife. This portion of Cedar Swamp was first granted to Samuel rice (grandfather of Dinah Rice) and then to Edmund Rice (father of Dinah Rice). When this deed was executed in 1729, the towns of Southborough, Westborough and Upton were in Middlesex County. In 1732, Worcester County was formed from Middlesex County. Therefore this deed was recorded in Worcester County in 1765.
Nathan Brigham (1693-1784) and his first wife, Dinah Rice (1693-1725) are my 6th great-grandparents through their son Moses Brigham (1722-1769), who married Mehitable Grout (1725-1795) in 1749.
