Randy and Stan at the Beach in About 1950 -- Post 785 of (Not So) Wordless Wednesday

I can't help it, I can't do a wordless post! This is now one of my favorite photographs:

This photograph shows brothers Randy (on the left) and Stan (on the right) half buried in the sand at La Jolla Cove in about 1950.  We loved to dig in the sand, get almost buried, and build sandcastles.  I have no memory of this event.  I don't know how often my parents took us to the beach, but I'm sure it did wonders for their sanity.

The San Diego beaches were a highlight of my youth, especially as a teenager.  In 2023, this beach is covered with sea lions and humans can't get close to them or go in the water.

I recently found this photograph in the "hidden in plain sight" collection of photos from my mother's home (discovered in 2002) in the genealogy cave.  I colorized this photograph using the MyHeritage photo tools.

This photograph is all part of our family history.
