Treasure Chest Thursday -- 1658/9 Marriage Record of Mark Kelsey and Rebecca Hoskins in Windsor, Connecticut

I looked in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history and genealogy musings for Treasure Chest Thursday.

The treasure today is the 1658/9 marriage record of Mark Kelsey and Rebecca Hoskins in Windsor, Connecticut Colony:

The marriage record is the 7th from the top of the page:
The transcription of this marriage record is:

"KELSEY, Mark2 (c1634-    ) & 1/wf Rebecca HOSKINS; m Windsor 8 Mar 1658/9 [GMB 2:1119]"

The source citation for this  marriage record is:

"U.S. New England Marriages Prior to 1700," indexed database with digital images,   Ancestry.com (https://www.ancestry.com),
Third Supplement to Torrey´s New England Marriages Prior to 1700, page 165, Mark Kelsey and Rebecca Hoskins marriage entry, Cambridge, 8 March 1658/9; Original data from Torrey, Clarence A., New England Marriages Prior to 1700 (Baltimore, MD : Genealogical Publishing Co., 2004)

This record is a Derivative Source, with Secondary Information and Indirect Evidence of the marriage of Mark Kelsey and Rebecca Hoskins in Windsor, Connecticut.

Mark Kelsey was born about 1634, probably in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the son of William and Esther (--?--) Kelsey.  He died before 27 February 1722/3 in Windsor.  He married (1) Rebecca Hoskins (1634-1683), daughter of John and Ann (Filer) Hoskins, on 8 March 1658/9 in Windsor, Connecticut.  They had 7 children.  He married (2) Abigail --?-- Atwood, widow of Thomas Atwood, in 1683 in Windsor, Connecticut.  They had no children.

Mark and Rebecca (Hoskins) Kelsey are my 8th great-grandparents.  I am descended through their son Joseph Kelsey (1673-1742), who married in 1697 to Joannes DeCamp (1677-1739) in Elizabeth New Jersey.
