Here are the highlights of my family history and genealogy related activities over the past week (ending Sunday, 8 June 2025).

3)  Transcribed the 1799 Deed of Josiah Sawtell Selling Land in Middlesex County, Massachusetts to Eliab Going with help from FamilySearch Full-Text Search.

4)  Wrote a genealogical sketch for 2nd Great-GrandUncle Lorenzo Dow Oatley (1821-1900) of Rhode Island and Connecticut for the 52 Relatives theme.

5) Curated genealogy-related articles to keep myself and my readers updated on the genealogy world in:
6)  Wrote two "ABC Biographies" using my AI-assisted "Ancestor Biography Creation" process and an AI-assisted memoir in:
8)  Wrote an AI-assisted short story about my great-grandparents - "Austin and Della: Curtain Call On the Prairie" - AI Historical Fiction.

9)  Requested free AI tools to create a poem and song lyrics about my 3rd great-grandfather,  Jonathan White (1803-1850), and had Suno.com create a song using the lyrics.  Posted the poem created by Gemini 2.5 Flash, the song lyrics created by Claude Sonnet 4, the Suno song link, and the ContentLM podcast link in "Jonathan's Song" -- -- A Family History Poem, Song and Podcast Created by Artificial Intelligence.

10)  I've been writing on my Substack account since April with "Posts" with family stories, and "Notes" for other Genea-Musings posts.  Prepared for my interview today with Barbara at Projectkin and also for the ABC Biography talk and presentation for next Thursday.  You can watch the interview at https://geneaholic.substack.com/p/projectkin-live-this-weekabc-ancestor.

11)  My AncestryDNA now has 49,290 DNA matches (up 46 from 1 June) with 2093 "close" matches today (up 2), with two new ThruLines.  Added Notes to 2 Matches, and added no new DNA match lines to RootsMagic.   MyHeritageDNA now has 13,566 DNA matches (up 24 from 1 June) for me.  Reviewed the new DNA matches on AncestryDNA, MyHeritageDNA, FamilyTreeDNA and 23andMe.

12)  Searched for more records of ancestral families on Ancestry, FamilySearch and MyHeritage, downloaded record images to my digital file folders, and added research notes, events and sources to RootsMagic profiles.  My RootsMagic family tree now has 74,590 profiles (up 12 from last week) and 147,765 source citations (up 5).

13) Wrote 23 Genea-Musings blog posts last week (Sunday through Saturday), of which two were a press release. The most viewed post last week was ABC Biography of #23 Amy Frances (Oatley) White (1826-1864) of Rhode Island and Connecticut with over 217 views.  Genea-Musings had about 236.000 page views last week and over 475,000 views over the past month.

14)  Real life events:  Visited Linda several days at her memory care facility and we played Uno. Went to the grocery store on Monday and Friday.  Visited the dentist on Thursday to check on my extracted tooth hole.  Attended the Men's Bible Study breakfast on Saturday morning.  Still reading G-Man by Stephen Hunter.  The Padres season continues and I watched six games this week - they were 4-3 this week (overall 37-27 now).
