Tuesday's Tip: Use the ProGenealogists Site for Research Tools

This week's Tuesday's Tip is:  Use the ProGenealogists website (www.progenealogists.com) to find genealogical links an d research tools.

The home page for ProGenealogists has links for Home, About Us, Services, Research Tools, Case Studies, Order Now and Contact Us:

While ProGenealogists is owned by Ancestry.com, and is in business to do professional genealogical research for clients, their site has a wealth of information for all genealogists to explore and use.

The Research Tools page (http://www.progenealogists.com/resources.htm) is:

There are links for Genealogy Sleuth United States, Articles, Citation Guide, Country Specialty Websites, Free Forms, Free Queries, Journals and Magazines, News and Events, Online Data, Recommended Products, Research Tools, and Surname Sites.

The Genealogy Sleuth United States page (http://www.progenealogists.com/genealogysleuthb.htm) contains links to many genealogy websites grouped by website type:

The major headings on the page above include Family Tree Databases, Miscellaneous Databases, USGenWeb sites, Cemetery Sites, Vital Records, Place Names and Maps, Census Sites, Find Living People, Tools, Dates and Currency, Directories, Military, Name Research, Court, Estate and Probate Records, Newspapers, Obituaries and Biographies, Naturalization, Passport and Passenger Lists, Land Records, Search Engines, DNA Links and many more.

There is an International Genealogy Sleuth page also with resources for many countries.

I use the Massachusetts Genealogy Databases page all of the time - it's the easiest site to find the published town vital records books by far.
