Susanna Draper was born 1 August 1687 in Dedham, Massachusetts, the daughter of John and Abigail (Mason) Draper[1,3].
She married (1) John Plimpton (1680-1730) on 13 November 1707 in Medfield, Massachusetts[2]. He was the son of John and Elizabeth (Fisher) Plimpton of Medfield. They had four children, all born in Medfield, and recorded in the town vital records:
* John Plimpton (1708-1756), married 1731 Abigail Fisher (1711-1785).
* James Plimpton (1709-1784), married 1736 Lydias Lovell (1717-????).
* Daniel Plimpton (1721-1777), married 1745 Deborah Smith (1723-1787).
* Elizabeth Plimpton (1726-1757).
John Plimpton died on 19 January 1730 in Medfield, leaving Susanna with four children between the ages of 4 and 22. Administration on his estate was granted to Susanna and their eldest son, John Plimpton on 7 April 1730 in Suffolk County Probate Court[7]. The Inventory was apprised at £789. The estate was distributed after the appraisers decided that the real estate could not be equitably divided between the heirs. The widow received her thirds in land and personal estate for the rest of her life, sons John and James received the real estate, and were to provide their brother Daniel and sister Elizabeth with 74 pounds plus interest.
Susanna (Draper) Plimpton married (2) on 31 May 1731 in Medfield to Stephen Sabin (1689-1737), as his second wife[5]. They had no children.
She married (3) on 15 April 1739 in Medfield to Joseph Plimpton (1677-1739), as his second wife[6], who was a cousin of her first husband, John Plimpton. He died only six months later on 21 October 1739. They had no children.
Susanna (Draper) (Plimpton) (Sabin) Plimpton died 27 September 1769 in Medfield, Massachusetts at age 82[3-4]. She is probably buried in Vine Lake Cemetery in Medfield[3], although there is no stone evident at this time.
