It's Saturday Night -
time for more Genealogy Fun!
Your mission, should you decide to accept it (cue the Mission Impossible music here) is to:
1) Teresa at the Writing My Past blog wrote a post about her genealogy bookshelf, even showing photographs of the books on several of her shelves. Linda Stufflebean thought this was a good SNGF topic, so here we are!
2) Tell us what books, or types of books are on your genealogy bookshelf/ves in your home. Do you have a photo of them? Are there specific books that you use more than others?

3) Tell us about it in your own blog post, in a comment to this blog post, or in a post on Facebook.
Here's mine:
I have books on a number of shelves in my genealogy cave - too many to list and to difficult to gather in one place. The bookshelf right next to my desk has a number of books that I use most often, so I took them in and placed them on my napbed and took a photograph of them:
As you can see, I picked a number of them that are fairly recent, including:
* Advanced Genealogy and Research Techniques by George G. Morgan and Drew Smith
* Genealogy and the Law by Kay Haviland Freilich and William . Freilich.
* Mastering Genealogical Documentation by Thomas W. Jones.
* Mastering Genealogical Proof by Thomas W, Jones.
* Genetic Genealogy in Practice by Blaine T. Bettinger and Debbie Parker Wayne.
* Try to Remember, Never Forget by Sandra Scheller [this is a Holocaust memoir of her mother, our neighbor, Ruth Sax]
* New Englanders in the 1600s by Martin Hollick.
* Mayflower Families Through Five Generations, Volume 13 William White by Ruth Wilder Dherman and Ralph Moody Sherman.
* Mayflower Families Through Five Generation, Volume 3, George Soule by Anne Borden Harding.
* Evidence Explained by Elizabeth Shown Mills.
* Overcoming Obstacles That Interfere with Finding Your Ancestors by Anne J. Miller
* Organize Your Genealogy by Drew Smith.
* How to Find Your Family History in U.S. Church Records by Sunny Jame Morton and Harold A. Henderson
* Courthouse Research for Family Historians by Christine Rose.
There are several more on other bookshelves that I didn't put on the bed. I also have several books in PDF format on my desktop computer and laptop.
Thank you, Teresa, for the idea, and Linda for the suggestion!
