It's Saturday Night -
time for more Genealogy Fun!
Your mission, should you decide to accept it (cue the Mission Impossible music here) is to:
1) What are the oldest family photos that you have? Can you date them? Do you know who is in them?
2) Show us one or more of your oldest photos and provide a date and the subjects.
3) Tell us about it in your own blog post, in a comment to this blog post, or in a post on Facebook.
Here's mine:
I have several sets of "oldest photos" but i'm not sure which are the oldest.
a) John Richman (1788-1867) of Hilperton, Wiltshire, England - print of an older photo, original perhaps about 1865:
2) Isaac Seaver (1823-1902) and Lucretia (Smith) Seaver (1828-1884) - ambrotypes in a Union Case, about 1864:
3) Devier J. Smith (1839-1894) and Abigail (Vaux) Smith (1844-1931) - tintype in a case, about 1869.
