We're Off to Palm Desert For the Weekend

Once in awhile, I am invited to speak at a far away (for me, that's more than 100 miles) place on a genealogy topic, and that's the case this weekend.

We will leave on Sunday morning for Palm Springs and Palm Desert.  We hope to get there for lunch time, so that we can be safely in our motel room to watch the Chargers/Broncos game on CBS starting at 1:40 PM PST.  After the game, a nice dinner someplace is probably in order to celebrate (hope springs eternal here in Charger-land!).

Then on Monday morning, 13 January, bright and early, I'm supposed to present "Searching Ancestry.com Effectively" to the Sun City Palm Desert Genealogy Club at 9:30 a.m. at the Mountain View Clubhouse, inside the Del Webb Sun City community, on Del Webb Blvd (about 0.4 miles from the entrance, on the right, before 38th Avenue).

If you're in the Palm Springs area, please consider stopping by and learning more about how to search Ancestry.com effectively.

I look forward to seeing my friends, and readers, when I speak at local genealogical societies!
