MyHeritage Announces the "Collection Catalog"

The MyHeritage Blog announced the new MyHeritage Collection Catalog today in the blog post "New: Collection Catalog."  This catalog is a listing of all of the historical record collections that are searchable on the MyHeritage website.

Users can access the "Collection Catalog" from the "Research" tab on a user's home page:

After clicking on the "Collection Catalog" on the dropdown menu under "Research," the Catalog appears:

There is a search box at the top right of the page to "Search for collection or keyword."  There is a dropdown menu for the "Sort by" options - the user can sort by "Number of Records" (the screen above), "Last Updated," and "Collection Name."

Here is the list on the "Last Updated" page:

Hmmm, the first two on the list are "Featured" databases which were not the last updated.  After them is the list of last updated collections.

Users can select a specific record type from the list on the left-hand side of the page on the screen above.

The MyHeritage Collection Catalog currently has 6,503 record collections with 7,769,609,176 records;  apparently, this does not include smaller collections with less than 500 records for some reason.

The MyHeritage blog post has more on the details of this new feature.

I am glad to see this feature - in the past, it has been difficult to determine which MyHeritage record collections are New or Updated.

Disclosure:  I have a complimentary MyHeritage PremiumPlus (data and tree) subscription and appreciate it.  I use MyHeritage every day for Record Matches and searches.
