Saturday Night Genealogy Fun - Your Genea-Wish List

It's Saturday Night again - time for lots more Genealogy FUN!!

Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to:

1)  Think of the genealogy related wishes you have - what education, database, or information would make your genealogy research dreams come true?  Be specific - as many wishes as you want to list!

2)  Tell us about some of your genea-wishes in your own blog post, in a comment to this blog post, or in a status or comment on Facebook.

Here's mine:

1)  I wish that the Massachusetts Land Records and Probate Records from the 1630s onward were imaged , indexed and available online so that I could find my known ancestors and my elusive ancestors, in them.

2)  I wish that I could find a record that provides the birth parents of my elusive ancestor, Devier James Lamphier Smith (1839-1894), who was adopted before 1843 by Ranslow and Mary (Bell) Smith..

3)  I wish that I had started this genealogical research journey many years before 1988.  [But would I be any further along in my efforts?]

4)  I wish that all of the source citations hiding in my 40 linear feet of paper on my bookcases was flawlessly included in my genealogy database!

Your turn!!

This is a great one! I know I have quite a few, but the ones I can think of offhand are probably:
1- I wish I could find some evidence of whether my earliest known Stevens ancestor really did come from England in the 1770s and where in England he came from
2- I wish I could track my Kentucky Gilkison family back beyond 1801.
3- I wish I had enough money and enough time to do the BU certificate program
4- Same as 3 but for SLIG

Hard to narrow down, and yet some of my wishes have already come true! The top ones are, I wish that:
1. I could find proof that my MANESS ancestor was a certain man that showed up in another county.
2. I could finish and publish my multigenerational saga based on my ENGLISH family.

My Genealogy Wish list
1. I would like to see the NGS Conference broadcast like WEBINAR are today and offered at a affordable price so that everyone that wanted to could participate without travelling great distances.
2. Someone would develop a genealogical program with a “SMART” source matrix. This source matrix would be a screen whereby you would enter all your source data. Once entered the Source Matrix would create and insert the created source into you database in either a pre-determined format or a format selected within the matrix. Choices would be APA, MLA, Chicago, Turabian.
3. I could find a document listing the parents of my great-great grandfather William A. Purvis b, abt 1823, d. 1899; married Sarah Jane Graves of Chesterfield County, SC.
4. I could replace all the pre-Civil War Public Records for Chesterfield County, SC that were destroyed by Gen Sherman during the War.
