Genealogy Pot-Pourri - Week Ending 26 December 2022

Here are the highlights of my family history and genealogy related activities over the past week.

1)  Transcribed a probate record for the Amanuensis Monday series -- 1842 Will of Molley Seaver (1766-1845) of Gardner, Massachusetts.

2)  Wrote a genealogical sketch for #731 7th great-grandmother Rebecca (Follansbee) Chase (1658-1711) for the 52 Ancestors series.

3) AncestryDNA now has 41,526 DNA matches (up 71 from 19 December) for me today, with no new ThruLines.   I added 3 Notes to my matches.  MyHeritageDNA now has 10,915 DNA matches (up 15 from 19 December) for me, with no new Theories.  Reviewed the new DNA matches on AncestryDNA, MyHeritageDNA, FamilyTreeDNA and 23andMe.

4)  Occasionally matched RootsMagic profiles to FamilySearch Family Tree.  I have matched 48,677 of my RootsMagic persons with FamilySearch Family Tree profiles (up 76).

5) Used Web Hints and Record Matches from Ancestry, MyHeritage, Findmypast and FamilySearch to add content and source citations to my RootsMagic profiles. I now have 70,215 persons in my RootsMagic file (up 63 since 19 December), and 145,497  source citations (up 18). I TreeShared no new or modified profiles with my Ancestry Member Tree, and I resolved 161  Ancestry Hints. My Ancestry Member Tree has Ancestry Record Hints with 172,450 to be resolved, but I work on them several times a week.  My MyHeritage family trees have 162,461 Record Matches in 285 sources and I work on them occasionally.

6) Wrote 18 Genea-Musings blog posts last week (Sunday through Saturday), of which three were a press release. The most viewed post last week was
Genealogy News Bytes - 14 to 20 December 2022 with over  142 views.  Genea-Musings had about 14,400 views last week.

7)  Real life:  This is week 146 since COVID restrictions started.   Christmas came and went, and I stayed home except for visiting Linda every day.  Linda is at a memory care and skilled nursing facility in Chula Vista 7 miles from home.  I dressed up in my Santa shirt and cap for the holiday.  We called Lori, Tami and Paul on Christmas Day.  I watched a lot of football, and even the Mariah Carey special, and did not do much genealogy work all week, except for blog posts.  My Aztecs lost their bowl game 25-23 on Saturday.
