Grandgirls and Gorillas at the Safari Park -- Post 481 of (Not So) Wordless Wednesday

In November 2013, we had the grandgirls, Lauren(age 8) and Audrey (age 5), down for a weekend again, and we went to the San Diego Zoo's Safari Park east of Escondido.  We only go there in the fall to spring because of the heat.  The gorillas are one of the big hits with the girls:

2)  There are some interactive displays - here's Lauren seeing how she matches up with an adult gorilla:

4)  Grandpa is about the right height (but the gorilla has his legs to the sides), but is outweighed a bit (thank goodness!):
