THAGS/FHF "Back 2 Research" eConference is Saturday, 23 September

I received this information from Family History Fanatics (FHF) and The Humble Area Genealogical Society (THAGS) recently:

With the summer vacation over, it's time to return to our genealogy research. To help you "Get In The Groove," four speakers will help you get Back 2 Research via an online conference sponsored by The Humble Area Genealogical Society (THAGS) in Humble, Texas

Saturday, September 23, 2017
8:30 am - 4 pm (CST)

For those unable to attend the conference live, replays of the webinars and panel discussion will be available until October 23rd, 2017. The chat features will not be accessible on the replay.

*  Desperately Seeking Susan: Finding Female Ancestors, by Amy Johnson Crow

*  Which Charles is Which? Separating Same Name Individuals, by Melissa Finlay

*  Using FamilySearch More Effectively, by Devon Noel Lee

*  Bankruptcy to Equity: Using Federal Court Records, by Michael L. Strauss

After these four hours of instructions, the speakers will convene for a final panel discussion to answer your questions LIVE! It will be a great day of education and entertainment.
The live conference and 30-day replay cost $15.  Register at

25% of each ticket sold is given to The Humble Area Genealogical Society (THAGS), a local organization in Texas, to further its mission.  Support their fundraiser and learn great research tips in the process!

The Family History Fanatics are managing this conference to enable THAGS to focus on promoting the conference. If you'd like to learn more about how the Family History Fanatics can coordinate an eConference for your local society, then email

Quick Update for you. We talked with the THAGS board last week and agreed that we would donate 50% of the ticket price to 6 members of our organization whose homes were flooded from the Harvey storms. Really want to get the word out that people can learn something about genealogy and help out fellow genealogists at the same time.
