Treasure Chest Thursday -- 1723 Death of William Cutter (1649-1723) of Cambridge, Mass.

It's Treasure Chest Thursday - a chance to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history and genealogy musings.

The treasure today is the 1723 death record of William Cutter in the Cambridge, Massachusetts Vital Record book:

The William Cutter death entry is:
The transcription of this record is:

[CUTTER] William, Apr. 1, 1723, in his 74th y[ear].  G.R.1.

The source citation for this record is:

Thomas W. Baldwin (compiler), Vital Records of Cambridge, Massachusetts to the Year 1850 (Boston, Mass. : New England Historic Genealogical Society, 1915), Deaths, page 521, William Cutter entry.

William Cutter (1649-1723) was the son of Richard Cutter (1620-1693) and Elizabeth --?-- (1620-1662) of Cambridge, Massachusetts.  William married Rebecca Rolfe (1652-1751) in 1679 in Cambridge, and they had 10 children.

William and Rebecca (Rolfe) Cutter are my 7th great-grandparents.  I descend from William and Rebecca (Rolfe) Cutter through their son, Richard Cutter (1682-1756) of Woodbridge, New Jersey, who married Mercy Kelsey (1698-1760) in about 1722.
