It's Treasure Chest Thursday - a chance to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history and genealogy musings.
The treasure today is the 1669 birth entry for Nathanell Harod in the Concord, Massachusetts town vital records book:The birth record transcription is:
"nathanell son of nathanell harod & Elizabeth his wife born 1.octo. [16]69"
The source citation for this record is:
George Tolman (compiler), Concord, Massachusetts Births, Marriages and Deaths, 1635-1850 (Concord, Mass. : Committee on Printing, 1894), page 14, Nathaniell Harod birth entry, 1 October 1669.
This is an abstract from a copied town record book for Concord, Massachusetts, so it is a Derivative Source with Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the birth of Nathanell Harod (Nathaniel Harwood).
Nathaniel Harwood (1669-1751) was the son of Nathaniel and Elizabeth (--?--) Harwood of Concord, Massachusetts. He married Mary Barron (1673-1758), daughter of Moses and Mary (Learned) Barron of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, in about 1695, probably in Chelmsford.
Nathaniel and Mary (Barron) Harwood are my 7th great-grandparents, through their daughter Elizabeth Harwood (1701-1739) who married Jonas Prescott (1703-1784) on 7 March 1730/1 in Westford, Massachusetts.
