Census Sunday -- 1950 U.S. Census Record for the Fred A. Arnold Family in Putnam, Connecticut

 The 1950 United States Census record for the household of Fred A. Arnold in Putnam, Windham County, Connecticut, residing at 18 Chapman St (taken 10 April 1950), is on Sheet 13 of ED 8-33:

Arnold, wife, white, female, age 67, married, born in Connecticut, works at home.  Was living in same house in 1949 in Windham County, Connecticut, father born U.S., mother born England, completed 10 years of school, no income received, no income from family.

*  Line 4 of Sheet 13 - Lucien E. Arnold, son, white. male, age 26, single, born in Connecticut, a home worker, worked no hours last week,  a worker, worked 40 hours last week, a teller at a commercial bank, a private company.

Note that the enumerator originally wrote the head of household's name as "Arnold Arnold," and then crossed the first name out and substituted "Fred A. Arnold."  His name was Frank Arthur Arnold according to other records.

Frank Arthur Arnold (1876-1955) was born 24 November 1876 in Pomfret, Connecticut, the son of Joseph and Adeline Louise (Warner) Arnold.  He died about 1955 in Pomfret, Connecticut.  He married Harriet Marie Fitts (1882-1956) on 25 December 1906 in Pomfret, the daughter of Arthur Lucius and Emma (Richmond) Fitts.  She died in about 1956 in Pomfret.  They had 6 children. 

Harriet Marie (Fitts) Arnold  is my first cousin twice removed.  Our common ancestors are my second great-grandparents James and Hannah (Rich) Richmond.
