Here are the highlights of my family history and genealogy related activities over the past week.
1) Hosted and moderated the Chula Vista Genealogical Society Research Group Board Meeting on Wednesday on Zoom. We discussed the improved Family Statistics page on MyHeritage, the Sawtooth Slayer" book by Nathan Dylan Goodwin, the WikiTree symposium and WikiTree Day presentations (available until 4-5 December), RootsTech 2023, Ancestry Member Tree WebLinks, Virtual Cemeteries on Find A Grave, and my Amanuensis Monday posts on Genea-Musings.
2) Attended the San Diego Genealogical Society Program Meeting on Saturday. Debbie Warner Anderson presented "Carrie's Letters, Part 1 - Discovery and Research" and "Carrie's Letters, Part 2 - Publishing."
3) Published a genealogy sketch for the 52 Ancestors series for 7th great-grandfather #726 William Hawkins (1676- >1752) of Providence, Rhode Island.
4) Transcribed a probate record for 1881 Executor's Petition for the estate of Eunice Seaver of Templeton, Massachusetts for Amanuensis Monday.
5) AncestryDNA now has 41,277 DNA matches (up 50 from 7 November) for me today, with no new ThruLines. Added Notes to 5 of them, and added no lines to RootsMagic. MyHeritageDNA now has 10,839 DNA matches (up 15 from 7 November) for me, with no new Theories. Reviewed the new DNA matches on AncestryDNA, MyHeritageDNA, FamilyTreeDNA and 23andMe.
7) Used Web Hints and Record Matches from Ancestry, MyHeritage, Findmypast and FamilySearch to add content and source citations to my RootsMagic profiles. I now have 70,101 persons in my RootsMagic file (up 4 since 7 November), and 145,437 source citations (up 5). I TreeShared no new or modified profiles with my Ancestry Member Tree, and I resolved 455 Ancestry Hints. My Ancestry Member Tree has Ancestry Record Hints with 175,438 to be resolved, but I work on them several times a week. My MyHeritage family trees have 200,305 Record Matches in 286 sources and I work on them occasionally.
