Saturday Night Genealogy Fun -- Where Were Your 16 2nd Great-Grandparents Born, Married and Died?

 Calling all Genea-Musings Fans:

It's Saturday Night again -

Time for some more Genealogy Fun!!



Here is your assignment, should you decide to accept it (you ARE reading this, so I assume that you really want to play along - cue the Mission Impossible music!):

1)  Where did your 16 2nd great-grandparents live and die?  What are their birth, marriage and death dates and locations?

2)  Write your own blog post, or leave a comment on this post, or write something on Facebook.

Here's mine:
  • Isaac Seaver (1823-1901) - born in Westminster, Mass., died Leominster, Mass. married 1851 Medfield, Massachusetts.
  • Lucretia Townsend Smith (1828-1885) - born in Medfield, Mass., died in Leominster, Mass.
  • Edward Hildreth (1832-1899) - born in Northborough, Mass., died Leominster, Mass., married 1852 Northborough, Mass.
  • Sophia Newton (1834-1923) - born in Springfield, Vt., died in Leominster, Mass.
  • James Richman (1821-1912) - born in Hilperton, Wiltshire, died in Putnam, Conn., married 1845 in Hilperton, Wiltshire.
  • Hannah Rich (1824-1911) - born in Hilperton, Wiltshire, died in Putnam, Conn.
  • Henry Arnold White (1824-1885) - born in Glocester, R.I., died in East Killingly, Conn., married 1844 in Thompson, Conn.
  • Amy Frances Oatley (1826-1864) - born in South Kingstown, R.I., died in Norwich, Conn.
  • David Jackson Carringer (1828-1902) - born in Greenville, Penn., died in San Diego, Calif., married 1851 in Mercer County, Penn.
  • Rebecca Spangler (1832-1901) - born in Mercer County, Penn., died in San Diego, Calif.
  • Devier James Lamphier Smith (1839-1894) - born in Jefferson County, New York, died in McCook, Neb., married 1861 in Dodge County, Wis.
  • Abbie A. Vaux (1844-1931) - born in Aurora, N.Y., died in San Diego, Calif.
  • David Auble (1817-1894) - born in Stillwater, N.J., died in Terre Haute, Ind., married 1844 in Newton, N.J.
  • Sarah G. Knapp (1818-1904) - born in Woodbridge, N.J., died in Bushnell, Ill.
  • James Abraham Kemp (1831-1907) - born in Prince Edward County, Ont., died in Norfolk County, Ont., married in 1861 in Norfolk County, Ont.
  • Mary Jane Sovereen (1840-1874) - born in Norfolk County, Ont., died in Norfolk County, Ont.
So my 2nd great-grands were born between 1817 and 1844, and died between 1874 and 1931.  

Births in Massachusetts (3), Vermont (1), Rhode Island (2), Wiltshire (2), Pennsylvania (2), New York (2), New Jersey (2) and Ontario (2).

Deaths in Massachusetts (4), Connecticut (4), Nebraska (1), Illinois (1), Indiana (1), Ontario (2) and California (3).

And my ancestors kept moving west - four generations later I was born in San Diego County, California.
