Aunt Marion, Randy, Linda and Fred in 1983 -- Post 332 for (Not So) Wordless Wednesday

I am posting family photographs from my collection on Wednesdays, but they aren't "Wordless" - I am incapable of having a wordless post.

Here is a photograph from the Marion (Seaver) (Braithwaite) Hemphill family collection handed down from my Aunt Marion in 2000 after her passing.

This picture was taken in our backyard in Chula Vista in the spring of 1983, probably by my mother, who sent the photograph to Aunt Marion for her California album.

The people in the picture are (from the left):

*  Marion (Seaver) (Braithwaite) Hemphill (1901-2000), my father's oldest sister
*  Randy Seaver
*  Linda Seaver (eyes closed and laughing), my wife
*  Frederick W. Seaver (1911-1983), my father.

And the tomato plant...for some reason!

If this was the spring of 1983, as the photo is labeled by me, then this is probably the lat picture I have of my father when he was alive.  He died on 26 May 1983.

Aunt Marion came to San Diego to visit us in about 1976 and again in 1983.  I don't think she traveled much after that.  We went to visit her in South Carolina in the 1990s.
