1785 Birth and Baptism Record of John Potman in Walpack, N.J. - Post #361 of Treasure Chest Thursday

The treasure today is the  1785 birth and baptism record of John Potman (1785-1863) in Walpack, Sussex County, New Jersey.

John Potman/Putman was born 27 September 1785, the second child and second son of  to Peter and Sarah (Canaan/Kinnan) Potman/Putman and was baptized at the Walpack Dutch Reformed Church in Walpack, Sussex County, New Jersey  

John Potman/Putman (1785-1863) is my 4th great-grandfather.  He married Sarah Martin (1792-1860) in about 1810 in New York, and they migrated to Norfolk County, Ontario in about 1834.  I am descended from their daughter, Elizabeth Putman (1818-1895), who married Alexander Sovereen (1814-1907) in 1840.
