This week's Tuesday Treasure is the 1916 Voter Registration for Paul F. and Edna C. Schaffner in San Francisco, California:

The Schaffner registration records:

The extracted information from this record:

*  21. Mrs. Edna C. Schaffner, residence 46 Rivoli, occupation Housewife, registered Republican

The source citation for this record is:

"California, Voter Registrations, 1900-1968," indexed database with record image, Ancestry.com (http://www.ancestry.com : accessed 25 September 2017), San Francisco County > 1916 > Roll 016, no page number, image 1317 of 1961, Paul F. and Edna C. Schaffner entries.

For Edna Schaffner, this collection has entries starting in 1912 (at 4 Eureka St.), 1913 (at 4 Eureka), 1916 (at 46 Rivoli), 1918, 1920, 1922, 1932, 1933, 1935 and 1938 (all since 1916 at 46 Rivoli Street).  Every year, she was a Housewife and a Republican.

Paul Frederick Schaffner married Edna Catherine McKnew in San Francisco on 24 June 1906, only two months after the earthquake.  Based on the information herein, I now know where they resided in 1912 through 1938 - I knew those addresses before.  Linda recalls the Rivoli Street address quite well and I visited there several times after our marriage and before Edna's death in 1974.

Paul and Edna (McKnew) Schaffner are my wife Linda's maternal grandparents.
