This week's Tuesday's Tip is: Find New and Updated Databases on Ancestry.com at http://www.ancestry.com/cs/reccol/default.
Ancestry.com adds new record databases, or updates their existing record databases, on a regular basis, and they provide the list at http://www.ancestry.com/cs/reccol/default to document the additions and updates.
A user can find a short list of the new or recently updated databases on the Ancestry.com Home Page in the "What's Happening at Ancestry.com" section:
The link to http://www.ancestry.com/cs/reccol/default is in the lower right-hand corner of the "What's Happening..." section - "View all new records."
The "Recently added and updated collections" page has a listing like this:
The user can check the dropdown menu, next to the "New and Updated" words with the green background, to show all countries, only the USA, or another specific country. The list differentiates between "New" and "Updated" with a different background in the left-hand column.
I check this list almost every day - it is invaluable to me. I like to be on top of things!
