Tombstone Tuesday - Philip Jacob King (1764-1829) in Prospect Hill Cemetery, York, Pennsylvania

I've been finding many burial locations of my ancestors and distant relatives using the MyHeritage record matching system, and want to share some of them in the Tombstone Tuesday series.

Here is the Find A Grave page image for Philip Jacob King (1764-1829) buried in Prospect Hill Cemetery in York, York County, Pennsylvania:

The Find A Grave memorial provides a birth date and death date, and notes that he was the son of Philip J. and Maria King, husband of Christina Johnston, and a Revolutionary War veteran.

The gravestone inscription says:

Sacred
to the memory
of
Philip J. King
who was born February
24th 1764
and departed this life
March 2nd 1829
aged 65 Years
and 6 days

Philip Jacob King is one of my 4th great-grandfathers.  His parents were Philip Jacob King and Maria Barbara Wilhelm.  His first wife was Catherine Ruth (1770-1813), by whom he had 12 children, including my ancestor Elizabeth King (1796-1863).  His second wife was Christina (Miller) Johnston (1766-1833), whose gravestone is also in this cemetery.
