The U.S. Civil War was from 186`1 to 1865 - about 150 years ago. Yet, there are still surviving children of Civil War soldiers. The National Geographic magazine online has an article on them at http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/special-features/2014/11/141111-veterans-day-150-anniversary-civil-war-memories/
This is a fascinating article! Two degrees of separation to Abraham Lincoln!
