The treasure today is the 1830 United States Census for the Amos Underhill household in Aurora, Erie county, New York:
The entry for the Amos Underhill household:
The Amos Underhill household included:
* two males aged 20 to 30 (likely Cyrus Underhill (born 1804) and James Underhill (born 1809)
* one male aged 50 to 60 (certainly Amos Underhill, born 1772)
* two females aged 15 to 20 (likely Almeda Underhill (born 1813) and Mary Ann Underhill (born 1815)
* one female aged 40 to 50 (certainly Mary (Metcalf) Underhill, born 1780)
The source citation for this record is:
1830 United States Federal Census, Population Schedule, Erie County, New York, Aurora Township, Page 171, Amos Underhill household; digital image, Ancestry.com (http://www.ancestry.com : accessed 15 July 2015); citing National Archives Microfilm Publication M19, Roll 114.
Amos and Mary (Metcalf) Underhill had a fifth child, Frederikc Underhill, born about 1820. Since he is not included in this census enumeration, it is likely that he died before 1830.
Amos and Mary (Metcalf) Underhill are my fourth great-grandparents. I am descended through their daughter Mary Ann Underhill (1816-1883) who married Samuel Vaux (1816-1880) in about 1838.
