I'm posting old (and sometimes new) family photographs from my collection on Wednesdays, but they won't be wordless posts like others do - I simply am incapable of having a wordless post.
Here is one of the most precious (to me) images from my Seaver/Carringer family collection:
I wonder if that is Jonathan Livingston Seagull visiting the Statue of Liberty?
That is my wife Linda visiting the Statue of Liberty with me on my 65th birthday.
We visited New York City in October 2008 before we went on the The Master Genealogist Cruise from New York City to the Caribbean and Puerto Rico.
We took a day-long bus tour of New York City sites from our hotel in Queens. That was the easiest way to see a lot of sites along with tour guidance, and visited the United Nations (outside only), the Empire State Building (all the way to the top), Rockefeller Center, Castle Garden, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the World Trade Center site. I didn't get wonderful pictures at some of those places.
