My criteria for "Best of ..." are pretty simple - I pick posts that advance knowledge about genealogy and family history, address current genealogy issues, provide personal family history, are funny or are poignant. I don't list posts destined for daily blog prompts or meme submissions (but I do include summaries of them), or my own posts.
Here are my picks for great reads from the genealogy blogs for this past week:
* Where to Find Genealogy Help on Facebook by Michele Lewis on the Legacy News blog.
* Understanding Your AncestryDNA Matches by Gretchen on the Legacy Tree Genealogists blog.
* Shining a Light on the Darkness by Judy G. Russell on The Legal Genealogist blog.
* Analyzing Sources by Marcia Philbrook on the Heartland Genealogy blog.
* 6 Steps to Make Your Family Tree 10 Times Better by DiAnn Iamarino on the Fortify Your Family Tree blog.
* Ancestry vs MyHeritage vs Findmypast: What’s the Difference and Which One is Best? by the writer of the Family History Daily blog.
* Make Plans Now For an A+ Genealogy Year by Denise Levenick on The Family Curator blog.

* Not a Genealogy Cage Match: Find My Past First Impressions by Kathleen Moore on The Misadventures of a Genealogists blog.

Did I miss a great genealogy blog post? Tell me! I am currently reading posts from over 900 genealogy bloggers using Feedly, but I still miss quite a few it seems.
