The treasure today is the 1904 death notice for Mrs. Dora Schaffner in the San Francisco Call Bulletin newspaper dated 13 April 1904:

The transcription of this death notice is:

"Friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited to attend the funeral today n(Wednesday), April 13, at 1:30 o'clock, from her late residence, 112 Scott street, between Haight and Waller.  Cremation I.O.O.F. Cemetery.  Please omit flowers"

The source citation for this death notice is:

"DIED," death notice, San Francisco [Calif.] Call Bulletin, 13 April 1904, Page 15, column 3, Mrs. Dora Schaffner death notice; digital image, GenealogyBank (https://www.genealogybank.com : accessed 27 June 2018), Newspaper Archives collection.

Dora [--?--] Schaffner was born 20 September 1838 in Oldenburg, Germany if the age at death is correct.  She married Frederick Schaffner (1828-1899) as his second wife before 1880, probably in San Francisco.  There are no records found to date of any children by this marriage.

Frederick and his first wife, Martha Matilda (--?--) Schaffner, are my wife's 2nd great-grandparents, through their son Herman Schaffner (1851-1921) who married Mary Ann Paul (1854-1908) in about 1875 and resided in San Francisco.
