The last ADDED collection was on 6 November but the entire list, and the Card Catalog, had not been updated for six weeks.

Randy,

I have just done some testing on the New / Updated list. Something is wonky going on.

First, I found a number of Databases that had been added in October. Like you, I check that list frequently. Until this blog post, the last Update I had was from 30 September 2018. So, I was surprised to see the October databases (12, I think)

While I was updating my database, I saw 3 Entries, where I have the date when they were updated, for one DBID (Record Group). They were NOT on the list. Several others were the same. Updated within 2018, but NOT on the New/Update list. I did verify that the Record Group(s) were still active.

This may account for the numbers going down, when you do not expect them to.

Finally, and this may be a Web Page issue, Returning to the New/Update page, I saw one list, but if I did a Refresh Web Page, I got a Different list. Going to a Country, in the pull down menu, and returning to All, I got a different list.

Bottom line, something is not right on the website. I took over an hour do to what I usually do in about 15 minutes.

Just an observation on this long standing "numbers" issue.

Thank you,

Russ

For what it's worth...

When I refresh the New and Updated collections, I get only those in the United States, probably based on a choice that I made at some point.

But then I change the United States to All Countries, I get more. But then when I refresh that again, it reverts back to only those in the United States, without my asking it to.

Could this explain some of the "wonky behavior"?
