Scores of genealogy and family history bloggers write thousands of posts every week about their research, their families, and their interests. I appreciate each one of them and their efforts.
My criteria for "Best of ..." are pretty simple - I pick posts that advance knowledge about genealogy and family history, address current genealogy issues, provide personal family history, are funny or are poignant. I don't list posts destined for daily blog prompts or meme submissions (but I do include summaries of them), or my own posts.
Here are my picks for great reads from the genealogy blogs for this past week:
* My Genealogy Hints, Tips and Cheats Mini-Series by Paul Chiddicks on Chiddicks Family Tree.
* Is Accuracy Important in Genealogical Research? by James Tanner on Genealogy's Star.
* My 1950 U.S. Census Release To-Do List: "Who Was Where" List by Marian B. Wood on Climbing My Family Tree.
* Exploring Tewksbury, Massachusetts Old Center Cemetery by Heather Wilkinson Rojo on Nutfield Genealogy.
* 'Evan Evans With a Candlestick...' by Jeff Record on Vita Brevis.
* The Archive Lady: Preserving Family Scrapbooks by Melissa Barker on Genealogy Bargains.
* A "Smart Match" Connected Me With An Unknown Branch of My Family in Argentina by Esther on MyHeritage Blog.
* How To Join a YDNA Surname Project by Diahan Southard on Your DNA Guide.
* Marriage Records: A Closer Look at Marriage Records #1 by Will Moneymaker on Ancestral Findings.
* Scavenger Hunt by Marcia Philbrick on Heartland Genealogy.
* My Cousins Julius Goldfarb and Ida Hecht: Lives Well Lived by Amy Cohen on Brotmanblog: A Family Journey.
* Where did My Mitochondrial DNA Haplogroup Come From? by Roberta Estes on DNA eXplained - Genetic genealogy.
Here are pick posts by other geneabloggers this week:

Did I miss a great genealogy blog post? Tell me! I currently am reading posts from over 900 genealogy bloggers using Feedly, but I still miss quite a few it seems.
