Treasure Chest Thursday -- 1670 Birth of Joseph Farwell (1670-1740) in Chelmsford, Massachusetts

It's Treasure Chest Thursday - a chance to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history and genealogy musings.

The treasure today is the 1670 birth entry for Joseph Farwell in the Chelmsford, Massachusetts town vital record book:
The birth entry is about half down the list for Farwell:

The marriage record transcription is:

"[Farwell] Joseph, s. Joseph and Hannah, 24 : 5m : 1670."

The source citation for this record is:

Town of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, Vital Records of Chelmsford, Massachusetts to the Year 1850 (Salem, Mass. : The Essex Institute, 1914), Births, page 60, Joseph Farwell entry, 24 July 1670.

This is an entry in a transcribed town record book for Chelmsford, Massachusetts, so it is a Derivative Source with Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the birth of Joseph Farwell.

Joseph Farwell (1670-1740) was the son of Joseph and Hannah (Learned) Farwell of Chelsmford.  He married
Hannah Colburn (1673-1741), daughter of Thomas and Hannah (Rolfe) Colburn, on 23 January 1696 in Chelmsford. Joseph and Hannah (Colburn) Farwell had ten children.

Joseph and Hannah (Colburn) Farwell are my 7th great-grandparents, through their daughter Mary Farwell (1709-1804), who married  James Stone (1702-1783), in 1726 in Groton, Massachusetts.
