Randy's First Automobile in About 1949 -- Post 677 of (Not So) Wordless Wednesday

I can't help it, I can't do a wordless post! This is one of my favorite photographs:

This photograph is of me in about 1949 - the proud driver of my first automobile - a pedal-powered vehicle that I drove all around the block.  I think that I received this car at Christmas 1948, but I can't tell what the model is.

We lived at 2119 30th Street in San Diego, in the upstairs apartment that my great-grandparents built in the late 1890s.  My block was my domain!  In time, I marked stop signs and turn lanes with chalk on the sidewalks but I never tried to cross the streets.

Don't I look cute at 5 years old in my baseball cap, little short-pants outfit, and shoes and socks?

This photo was colorized with the MyHeritage tools.

No doubt about the coolness factor in that young dude :)

The bell on your vehicle makes me wonder about a fire truck.......

Very cute! I wished I had a pedal car like that when I was a little girl, but being female in the fifties had to settle for doll strollers and such. I'll bet that was a fun ride, Randy!

I had the coolest blue Cadillac. The chain kept falling off. My brother's car was a police car. Wish I had photos of them. Love your stance, cool guy.
