Mary --?-- (1702?-1726?)  is #309 on my Ahnentafel  List, my 6th great-grandmother, who marrie#308 John Bathrick (1702-1769), probably  in about 1720 in Cambridge, Middlesex County,  Massachusetts Bay.

4)  NOTES (with source citations as indicated in brackets):

Mary --?-- (ca 1702-ca 1726) is a complete mystery to me. The first known record of Mary is the 1724 birth record of her daughter, Elisabeth Bathrick (1724-1784) in Cambridge, Massachusetts vital records[1], daughter of John and Mary Bathrick.  The last known record is the birth of Mary Bathrick (1725-????), born 24 December 1725 in Cambridge, Massachusetts[2].

Some online family trees have this Mary as Mary Boyce (1701-1727), daughter of Benjamin and Mary (Allin) Boyce of Salem, Massachusetts, born 10 April 1701 in Salem, with a death date of "about 1727" in Salem.  A Mary Boyce married Nathan Gaskill (1696-1726) on 26 January 1718/9 in Salem, and they had a daughter, Mary Gaskill (1719-1808) in 1719 in Salem, who married Adam Harkness (1710-1793) in 1741, and died in Smithfield, Rhode Island. Nathan Gaskill had land in Mendon, Massachusetts worth £55 when his estate was administered by Benjamin Boyce on 26 December 1727 in Suffolk County Probate Court.  The estate file made no mention of a Mary Gaskill.  There are no clear death records for a Mary Gaskill, wife of Nathan.  It is very likely that the Mary Boyce, daughter of Benjamin and Mary (Allin) Boyce of Salem married Nathan Gaskill in 1719 in Salem and died before Nathan Gaskill died.

Mary Boyce and Mary --?-- may be the same person, but that hypothesis requires her to have two husbands in two different places between 1722 and 1726 (Salem and Boston area), unless Nathan died before 1722, when Mary had her son, David Bathrick.  There are no probate records for Benjamin Boyce or Nathan Gaskill that might name Mary as a wife of Nathan Gaskill or John Bathrick.

Mary --?-- probably married John Bathrick in about 1720, perhaps in Cambridge, Massachusetts Bay.  They had three children:

*  David Bathrick (1722-1794), born in Cambridge (no birth record), who married 1742 Lydia Maynard (1722-1802) in Westborough.
*  Elisabeth Bathrick (1724-1784), born and recorded in Cambridge, married 1745 James Brooks (1723-1801).
*  Mary Bathrick (1725-????), born and recorded in Charlestown, married 1747 Isaac Brooks (1720-1760).

Mary (--?--) Bathrick died sometime after 24 December 1725 when daughter Mary was born, and before John married, secondly, in about 1727 to Elizabeth Godding (1708-1747), perhaps in Watertown.

There is no clear death record for Mary (--?--) Bathrick, and there is no burial record for her in Cambridge, Charlestown or Westborough, Massachusetts.

NOTE:  This genealogical sketch is out of Ahnentafel order because I found new information linking Sophia Newton to her birth father, Lambert Brigham.

NOTE: In 2014, Amy Johnson Crow suggested a weekly blog theme of "52 Ancestors" in her blog post 52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks on the No Story Too Small blog. I have extended this theme in 2022 for a ninth year to 468 Ancestors in 468 Weeks. The (incomplete) list of 52 Ancestors biographies from my great-grandparents to the 7th great-grandparents (in work) is in https://www.geneamusings.com/p/ancestor-biographies.html.
