Seavers in the News -- Frank Seaver Dies in 1964 in Moretown, Vermont

 Here is this week's edition of "Seavers in the News" - a weekly feature from the historical newspapers about persons with the surname Seaver that are interesting, useful, mysterious, fun, macabre, or add information to my family tree database.

This week's entry is from the The Burlington [Vt.] Free Press newspaper dated 10 October 1964, page 13:

This obituary identifies his death date and place, birth date and place, parents names, living family members, and his occupation, but not much else about his life or associations.

Frank Joseph Seaver (1874-1964) was born 11 September 1874 in Waitsfield, Vermont, the son of Levi W. and Catherine (Hoffman) Seaver.  He died 9 October 1964 in Waitsfield.  He married twice:

(1)  to Mary Ella Eagan (1875-1910) on 6 January 1898 in Montpelier, and they had four children:

*  Beatrice Catherine Seaver (1899-1899).
*  Mark John Seaver (1905-1992), married 1931 Ruth Carolyn Farr (1907-2001).
*  Margarite Gertrude Seaver (1907-1973), married 1935 Reno Atillo Mazelli (1912-1980).
*  Jessamine Mary Seaver (1909-1909).

(2)  to Louise Marie Lavoie (1894-1983) on 7 June 1915 in Quebec, and they had three children:

*  Rita Catherine Seaver (1916-1998), married 1943 Hugh Mathis Jackson (1916-2012)
*  Jeanette Teresa Seaver (1918-2004), married 1943 Emil Stanley Maynard (1916-2009).
*  Clifton Seaver (1920-1920).

Frank Joseph  Seaver (1874-1964) is a 5th cousin 3 times removed of mine.  Our most recent common Seaver ancestor is my 7th great-grandfather Joseph Seaver (1672-1754).

There are over 10,000 Seaver "stories" in my family tree - and this was one of them.   Life happens, accidentally and intentionally, and sometimes a person loses family members and has sadness in their life.  I am glad that I can honor Frank Joseph Seaver today.

You never know when a descendant or relative will find this blog post and learn something about their ancestors or relatives, or will provide more information about them to me.
