 Here is this week's edition of "Seavers in the News" - a weekly feature from the historical newspapers about persons with the surname Seaver that are interesting, useful, mysterious, fun, macabre, or add information to my family tree database.

This week's entry is from the Spokane [Wash.] Chronicle newspaper dated 29 April 1964, page 7:

This obituary identifies her immediate family members and her place of death, but does not provide any information about her life, occupation, or associations.

Lorene Silver Albright was born 3 November 1896 in Dayton, Washington, the daughter of Henry David and Isa (Walker) Albright.  She died 28 April 1964 in Chewelah, Washington.  She married Ralph W. Seaver (1894-1938) on 11 August 1920 in Moscow, Idaho.  They had four children:

*  Cecil Pershing Seaver (1918-1998), married (1) 1948 Marguerite Dee Larson (1920-????); (2) 1976 Ellen LaVernice Emmons (1924-1999).
*  Wilmer Roy Seaver (1921-1988), married (1) 1943 Frances Rosie Ruth Mooney (1927-1996); (2) 1948 June Rose Fogel (1931-1999).
*  Myrtle Fern Seaver (1922-2007), married 1944 Roy Harrison Meadows (1917-1999).
*  Ralph Boyd Seaver (1929-1974), married 1947 Bettie Lula Lunsford (1931-1993).

Ralph W. Seaver (1894-1938) is an 8th cousin 2 times removed of mine.  Our most recent common Seaver ancestor is my 9th great-grandfather Robert Seaver (1608-1683).

There are over 10,000 Seaver "stories" in my family tree - and this was one of them.   Life happens, accidentally and intentionally, and sometimes a person has an obituary with only family information.  I am glad that I can honor Lorene Silver (Albright) Seaver today.

You never know when a descendant or relative will find this blog post and learn something about their ancestors or relatives, or will provide more information about them to me.
